Increased Love for the Lord in the Local Church
My wife and I met in high school and married in our college years. From the very beginning of our relationship we wanted to follow the Lord. When we were in college we were searching for what the Lord's heart desired, our own hearts were longing for oneness with other Christians. Through the years we met with different denominational and non-denominational groups but each situation left us in a wilderness. We were wandering, seeking something deeper and more intimate of Christ. After our college years we met with friends in our home and studied the Bible. One of the couples in our study group invited us to attend a meeting of the local church in Seattle. In that first meeting we heard and experienced a reality of the words, “Jesus is Lord.” All the speaking from God's Word in that meeting caused our spirits to ring and our hearts to rejoice. That first meeting was in 1970 and we have continued meeting even until now. Over the years our love for the Lord and His Word have increased in the local churches through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee.
During our time in the church, we have raised three children. Through much nurturing of the Lord through this ministry as well as much prayer, fellowship, and care all three of our children are leading responsible adult lives and going on with the Lord. Finding the local church has been our salvation and our family's salvation. We thank the Lord for what He has given us.
